Thermoguard Wallcoat Basecoat is a smoke & flame retardant fire protection paint upgrade system that achieves EU & new British safety standards on walls & ceilings. Ideal for upgrading potentially dangerous multi-layer previously painted walls & ceilings. It controls surface spread of flame and fire propagation to Class 0 & EN Class B. Total smoke control, flaming droplets & particulates to EN Class B s1 d0.

When applied as a system with Thermoguard Wallcoat SFR, it allows owners & operators of buildings to fulfil their Duty of Care for Fire Safety without having to compromise aesthetics. The system can be applied to painted plaster, Artex, plasterboard, brick & concrete.

To achieve BS EN Class B s1, d0, inspect and prepare in accordance with manufacturers instructions & apply -

• 1 coat of Thermoguard Wallcoat Insulating Basecoat
• 1 coat* of Thermoguard Wallcoat SFR in Matt or Eggshell Finish

*Apply 2 coats of Thermoguard Wallcoat SFR in Matt or Eggshell Finish in external, damp or high wear areas. 2 coats may also be required for strong/dark colours - Thermoguard Insulating Wallcoat Basecoat will be provided in a suitable undercoat shade to aid topcoat opacity unless instructed otherwise.

Once your project is complete, use our simple online process to get your FREE Fire Certificate. Most of our customers need a Fire Certificate to show that the work has been done correctly and the correct product used.

These certificates are most often referred to as a Fire Certificate but in fact are really a certificate of supply. They indicate the amount of product supplied and the fire rating that this quantity of product would achieve over an agreed specified surface area/substrate. After your application is approved:   Thermoguard will  then supply the certificate Free of Charge by email. All that remains is for the contractor to confirm by signature that the product was applied correctly in accordance with the relevant instructions & data sheets.There are many people who may need this certification: Building Managers, Insurance Companies, Building Control Departments etc. Thermoguard quickly issue a certificate of supply that is universally recognised & accepted.
